Leap of Faith
It all begins with an idea.
To know me, is to know how much I love my work. I have been with companies that I believe in and I’m passionate about. I have been extremely fortunate to have had intelligent employers and colleagues that constantly taught me. However, for many years, I’ve had an internal struggle to branch out on my own. As I've discussed with many of my friends & family, it's easy to let fear dictate our decisions. Once we get to a certain age, get to a certain position, make a certain amount of money... many things factor into deciding to stay at a job.
COVID-19 has been a challenging time for us all. It has left me alone with my thoughts and forced me look inside myself… and doing so came clarity and courage to take a leap of faith. We are all living day-by-day with changes happening all the time and new information being presented. However, by making this move to leave my job, I feel for the first time, in a long time, I have more control of my work-life than ever.
As a full-time consultant, the clients I already lined up have amazing missions and I'm eager to help them through their challenges. Working on my own will allow me the opportunity to choose the people I work with, the projects I manage, and do more of the things I love (when life opens up again). Life is short, we only have one - we should do what make us happy. While the fear remains, it is joyed by excitement. I am incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have encouraged me to make the transition during these trying times.
